Benny Anthony Jr., commonly known by the name B. J. Anthony (born 20 July 1988 in Auckland), is a New Zealand professional basketball player. He plays for the New Zealand Breakers in the Australasian National Basketball League as well as the Otago Nuggets in the New Zealand National Basketball League. The cornerman was selected to join the New Zealand national basketball team squad on 17 August 2009 for the first time as an injury replacement for Jeremiah Trueman. He participated in the FIBA Oceania Championship 2009 for the New Zealand Tall Blacks, averaging 7.5 points and 4.5 rebounds for the team. He also played in the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. In 2011, Anthony also joined the Waikato Pistons to play in the New Zealand National Basketball League.[1]

On 11 October 2011, the Otago Nuggets announced that B. J. Anthony had signed a one-year contract to play for them in the 2012 season. He would join fellow Tall Blacks Mark Dickel and Leon Henry at the franchise.
